We drove in Center of Innsbruck and cycled over the District Mühlau up to the upper edge of town. We followed the signs direction Rechenhof or Rumer Alm. So far we have to drive on asphalt, then begins a partly steep forest. If you do not start from Innsbruck, you can also easily reach the car park Alpenpark by car karwendel drive and start from here.

The tour is well signposted as it is part of the mountain bike project of the state of Tyrol. She is with the No. 513 characterized. On the first part of the route you still have to count on vehicles on the road and often to stop to dodge. Gradients and gradients between 5% and 12% and sometimes pieces up to a maximum of 17% follow. After the first meters of altitude you can already enjoy the first views of Innsbruck. Is one at the height of Enzianhütte (1041m), the trail leads up in smaller hairpin bends up to the Rumer Alm at 1243m. The views from the fields in front of the Alm and the food are excellent and pay for the effort. The Alm is located on the south side, so that it is easy to reach in the late autumn and early in the spring.

We do not want to go back the same way and so we drive only a little way back the previous way and then turn right in the direction Arzler Alm, The path is signposted and you should take care of the hikers. From the Arzler Alm you have a good view of the Wipptal valley and the beginning of the Stubai valley.

Below the hut, you have to dismount and push the bike a bit, as the path is closed to mountain bikes in view of the arriving hikers. Follow the signs to Hungerburg, From here it goes back down an asphalt road to Innsbruck. If you drive down to the Inn, cross it, you have arrived back in the old town of Innsbruck.
