Fair Trade Tourism
In the country a lot is done in terms of "Fair Trade Tourism", as it was the first tourist destination to introduce a Fair Trade seal for tourist attractions. 64 providers, from lodges to guided tours, are certified with the Fair Trade Tourism Seal (FTT). More under fairtrade.travel.
Hiking in South Africa
By the famous Kruger National Park lead seven shorter wilderness trails, at fixed camps can be accommodated. Who likes it a bit wilder, for which there are so-called backpacking trails. Together with a ranger you explore the park for four days. The Mphongolo Trail sounds particularly exciting, as no fixed camps are called, but on the way is decided, where the camp is pitched.
