The EXL is a small and fine 20 liter daypack from Black Diamond, I actually use it as a multi-sports backpack or just like that in the city. Big enough with water, coffee, climbing shoes, chalk bag, towel, Vesper and muesli rusks packed to complete my personal Climbathlon: 4km jogging to the climbing tower, a few eight-round bouldering, to cool off in Lake Constance jump and jog back.
The Backpack is built very narrow and leaves much freedom of movement. The "swing arm" suspension of the straps works perfectly. The lower ends of the straps are connected with a cable pull on the backpack bottom, thus the backpack actually does all the movements. Whether in trail running, mountain biking or as a climbing backpack - I never had the feeling that the backpack really limits me. An abdominal and chest strap keeps the pet in position so that nothing slips.
